Film 4 research- Film 4 was founded in 1982 in the headquarters of all4 in london.
Channel 4 was created in 1982 as a subsidiary of channel 4 and Jeremy Isaacs was appointed as the channels first chief executive. The channels first channel controller was Paul Bonner and the chairman was Edmund dell.
Aim of film 4- film 4 aim to fund 10-12 films each year through a mix of license fee and equity. most of the films created by film 4 were co-financed by other financing partners. The majority of the premieres of films funded/produced by film 4 appear on either film 4 or C4 (also owned by channel 4).

Film4 is Channel 4 Television's feature film division. Film4 develops and co-finances films and is known for working with the most distinctive and innovative talent in UK and international filmmaking, both new and established.
Film4’s recent releases include Asif Kapadia’s Diego Maradona, Tom Harper’s Wild Rose, Stephen Merchant’s Fighting With My Family, Sebastián Lelio’s Disobedience, Steve McQueen’s Widows, Mike Leigh’s Peterloo, Tinge Krishnan’s Been So Long, Bart Layton’s American Animals and Michael Pearce’s Beast.
Film4 offers a mix of major Hollywood films with great British films, both new and old, alongside timeless classics and cult favourites. The channel has an ongoing commitment to showcasing British films and filmmakers, with one in four of all films transmitting on the channel coming from the UK.
